Why did we start Freedom Farms? (when we could have continued playing cricket in the corridor at our old jobs instead)
Well it's not just about crisp bacon and happy piggies... but that's what we do so far...
Actually it's all about naturally farmed foods, bringing back quality,and challenging what's been going on in farming worldwide.
Today farming is becoming more and more about producing...at all cost...cheaper and cheaper (and often lower quality) food using more and more intensive systems.
It's often called farming with... "chemicals and cages"... and the result ? "
Frankly we know there is a better way....
We know more and more people care about the quality of their food... and about where their food comes from...
... and want to know that their farm animals are being raised more naturally and humanely and
... want to know what these animals are being fed and
... want to be sure they are not loaded up with chemicals and growth hormones.
... and want to be sure the farmers they support are trying hard to minimise their impact on our environment and operate sustainably..
So we started Freedom Farms... because we figured someone had to bring back a more natural way...
And yes we know we aren't perfect...and can always do better,But we promise to keep challenging how things are done .
